Viper Subsea
Viper Subsea are a company that specialise in management, engineering and procurement services to the offshore and subsea oil and gas industry. Until recently they were based in Tickenham but have now expanded into larger premises in Portishead.
In 2007, Neil Douglas and Max Nodder, Viper Subsea’s Directors, were searching for an IT Company that could not only maintain their existing computer system but would also be able to provide the support that a growing company requires.
Since taking out an Orchard Silver Contract, Viper Subsea have opened a new office in Aberdeen for which Orchard supplied the new server and other hardware and software required as well as all the technical help needed to ensure that there is full data replication between the two offices.
As well as linking their offices, Orchard have configured Viper Subsea's IT infrastructure to enable their staff to work from home as much as possible. This has given the company the opportunity to employ staff of the highest quality irrespective of their location.

Orchard have ensured that the systems that have been put in place have been suitable for the size of our company, but we have also seen how they can be easily expanded to accommodate the rapid growth in our business. Our IT infrastructure has been set up to enable our staff to work from home as much a possible. A number of our staff now work predominantly from home or client offices. Wherever they are physically, most of the time they are ‘virtually’ in our office. This flexible approach means we have been able to recruit a team who are all highly experienced in the industry.
